1. Consent to Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how the information collected by InsuranceForMyNonprofit ("Site") is used.  This Privacy Policy is subject to change at any time, and use of this Site is subject to the most recent version of the Privacy Policy.  By visiting and using the Site, and continuing to use this Site after posting of changes to the Privacy Policy, you accept and agree to the practices described in the current Privacy Policy.  If you do not agree to these practices, please do not use this Site.  If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy, contact Claire Reiss, Deputy Executive Director and General Counsel of PERI at creiss@riskinstitute.org or (703) 352-1846.

2. Information Collected
Non-personally Identifying Information Collected.
The Site uses “cookies”, which are a small amount of data that is transferred to your browser by a web server and can only be read by the server that provided it to you. Cookies function as a source of identification, recording your passwords and preferences.   Although the Site uses cookies to track your visit and the Site web server automatically logs certain information such as the pages you visit and the IP/Internet address of your computer, this information does not identify you personally, and you remain anonymous unless you have otherwise provided the Site with personally identifying information.
Personally Identifying Information Collected.

Questionnaires. InsuranceForMyNonprofit.org uses two questionnaires.  The exposure assessment questionnaire collects no personally identifying information.  Your responses are limited to exposure information that helps the Site suggest insurance coverage that may benefit your organization.  The coverage assessment questionnaire gathers more detailed information about your organization, its activities, policies and procedures, present insurance coverage, and loss experience, which information includes personally identifying information such as your organization’s name and federal employee identification number.  If you submit a request for quoter to a participating insurer using the Site, the insurer may require you to submit additional information.
Payment Information. If you use a paid service on the Site, you must provide payment information.  PERI uses secure transaction methods when collecting credit card information over the Internet, and does not maintain or further disclose credit card information you provide.

3. Access to, Use of and Sharing Information
Non-personally Identifying Information.
Cookies and tracking information may be reviewed internally for purposes of improving our services, and may be provided on an aggregated, anonymous basis to current and potential participating insurers.  You can opt out of receiving cookies by changing the setting on your browser.  This will affect the delivery of cookies by other sites as well.  If you reject cookies, you may not be able to register and use some features of the Site.
Personally Identifying Information
You will have access to your personally identifying information through your personal home page, as long as you maintain your subscription. The information that you provide is saved on the Site and is accessible to you through your private, password protected home page.
PERI uses your personally identifying information to provide you with educational information on the Site.   PERI also uses your contact information to respond to your comments or requests for information, or to contact you about any issues related to the management of your account.   PERI will not sell or rent or otherwise distribute your information outside its organization except as described in this Privacy Policy.  PERI reserves the right to use your contact information to send you information about other PERI products and services unless you opt out of receiving such information.

PERI’s Technology Vendor may have access to user personally identifying information in the process of addressing site maintenance and improvement, but will not use your personally identifying information for any other purpose.

Participating Insurers to which you submit a request for quote through the Site can access and download the responses on your exposure assessment and coverage assessment questionnaires and the entire content of any documents you upload to the Site through your private home page, including any identifying information such as your federal employer identification number.  Information submitted to a participating insurer or downloaded by the participating insurer from the Site becomes and remains part of that insurer’s underwriting file, and will be used by the participating insurer to make a decision on your request for quote. Your designated participating insurer(s) will use the information to evaluate your request for quote, make a decision about granting the requested coverage, and contact you directly with its response to your request for quote and for any follow-up.  PERI is not responsible for your information after it is transmitted to, or accessed or downloaded by participating insurers, but the participating insurers are responsible for treating your personally identifying information in accordance with their own privacy practices.

Brokers, Agents, & Insurance Advisors to whom you entrust your email address and password to your private home page may access the Site for the sole purpose of using the site on your behalf during the term of your subscription.  Anyone to whom you give your password will be able to access your private home page and any personally identifying information saved there.  Thus, PERI encourages you to protect the confidentiality of your password and to entrust it only to trusted advisors.
